Program Description:

Course work: In addition to teaching English as a Second Language in local schools for 25 hours per week for 15 weeks (Teaching Practicum), students will create 2 tutorials with New College faculty.

Language prerequisite: Students need to have completed Advanced Spanish 2, or the equivalent of 6 semesters of college-level Spanish, and pass an oral proficiency test.

Housing: Students will live with a host family.

Cost: Tuition and fees are paid to New College. 

Financial Aid: Students will meet with staff in the Financial Aid office as part of their off-campus study application to get more information.

Transportation: Escuelas Hermanas/Sisters Schools will arrange and pay for airfare to Guatemala and ground transportation.

Passport: Students need to have a valid passport to travel to Guatemala. No visa necessary.
